JACKSON, Miss.–If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, the Mississippi Dept. of Health is offering the shot as part of Senior Day at the State Fair. It will be Wednesday from 9 to noon, at the north entrance of the Mississippi Coliseum.
The shots are $30 for the regular flu vaccine and $55 for the high-dose flu vaccine (for those 65 and older). Seniors are asked to please bring a photo ID and your proof of insurance to the event.
This year the CDC has said that flu shots will be more effective, covering a better protion of the flu strain than last year.
