Give Back, Give Blood

LAUREL, Miss.- If you’re looking for a new tradition to add to your Thanksgiving holiday, Laurel is encouraging you to give blood.

Just because it is a holiday doesn’t mean hospitals get to close. WDAM reports that the Laurel Community Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, November 24 from 12 p.n. to 6 p.m. at the Cameron Center. All donors will also receive a fresh pie from Kroger’s. Donors will also receive an “Answer the Call” hunting themed t-shirt.

They are in special need for type O blood and AB plasma donations.

To donate you must be 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. There may be additional requirements for older donors. You will receive a free cholesterol test and earn points in “Hero in Me” online rewards store. See more at
