JACKSON, Miss – Gov. Phil Byrant has announced that he will call to order a special session for Tuesday at 10 a.m.

State revenue has been less than expected and therefore the Governor will request that he be authorized to pull anywhere from $50-$75 million from the rainy day fund.

The state is expected to run on a $6.2 billion budget for FY 2016.
