The Gulfport Police Department is looking for two men in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred on Thursday night. An investigation led to warrants being served for 25-year-old Damaro Robertson and 16-year-old Rakim Savonta Jones on drive-by shooting charges. Neither has been arrested yet.

Gulfport officers responded to the 4000 block of Ohio Avenue where they spoke to the victim who said that he had been shot by an unidentified suspect in a black vehicle. The suspects fled the area before police arrived at the scene, but an investigation was able to identify Jones and Robertson as the suspects.

The victim’s name has not been released, but Gulfport Police say he suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspects is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or contact Crime Stoppers at www.mscoastcrimestoppers.com.
