Over Half of Mississippi’s Restaurants are Fast Food, Double the National Trend

JACKSON, Miss. – Mississippi is known for having some of the worst personal health problems in the country.

According to countyhealthrankings.org about 54% of the restaurants in Mississippi are fast food. That percentage is nearly double the national average. In Sharkey, Wilkinson, and Amite Counties, if you want to eat out, fast food is your only option.
