HINDS COUNTY, Miss- Cops were kept busy this past weekend keeping an eye out for people breaking the law. Hundreds of officers helped with Operation Bunny Hop to keep drugs off your streets.
WAPT reported that there was a total of 52 felony arrests and 22 drug arrests over the weekend.
Law enforcement searched people with warrants for drugs, they had multiple traffic checkpoints to check driver’s licenses and insurance cards, they went to clubs to make sure they were following protocols and not serving minors. Police also checked convenient stores to make sure cigarettes and tobacco were being sold to adults.
The officers used many methods to put a lot of people away this weekend and they are continuing to crack down on crime in Mississippi.
