HATTIESBURG—After holding a steady lead, Hattiesburg pet lovers will know this week if they get a 100,000 dollar dog park.
Petsafe will announce the winners of the Bark for Your Park contest on Thursday. Cities from all over the country united their pet parents for the goal of winning the park. The leaderboards showed Hattiesburg consistently in the top 5 until they were taken down on July 25th. Voting for the cities took place online until July 31st. Four cities will win $25,000 and the grand prize winner will receive a $100,000 dog park. There will be a surprise announcement for the winners Thursday.
Last year’s winners were Mountain House, California, Silver Cliff, Colorado; Conway, Arkansas; Wheeling, West Virginia and Texarkana, Texas. Texarkana also won in 2012.
