Heat feeling like 109 today – 7-15-18

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, there is a heat advisory in effect from 10 a.m. this evening to 9 p.m. Partly sunny skies are likely with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the lower to mid-90s and heat index readings will range from 103 to 108. Tonight, mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will dip down into the mid-70s.

In central Mississippi, a heat advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. this evening. During the day, sunny skies in the morning, then becoming partly sunny along with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the 90s and heat index readings will be anywhere from 104 to 109. At night, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms during the night. There will also be some areas of fog after midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.

In south Mississippi, mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will climb into the mid-90s and “feels like” temperatures will range from 104 to 109. In the evening, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and continuing after midnight. Lows will be in the mid-70s.
