NWS: rough weather possible in the coming days

Summertime showers and thunderstorms marking your weekend as a cold front moves into the region. National Weather Service meteorologist Joanne Culin says areas of south Mississippi likely to get the bulk of the rain, while thunderstorms could pop up across the area.

While areas of north Mississippi finally catching a break in the rain:

Mississippians are no strangers to the severe summer heat and humidity, but it’s not just uncomfortable, it can be downright deadly.

According to national data, the Magnolia State averages as THE MOST humid state in the country. And Culin says the coming days won’t get any easier, even with that cold front sweeping into the region.
