Historic Mississippi House Now on Endangered List

NATCHEZ, Miss. – An historic two-story Greek revival house, in Natchez, is now on the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi list.

Mississippi Heritage Trust, a non-profit, puts out the list. The house is called Melmont and according to Mimi Miller, Director of the Historic Natchez Foundation, she told WLBT that the house has severe structural damage.

Also making the list is the Wilson County jail, located in Woodville. It was build back in 1929.
