Mississippi House lawmakers stood almost unanimously to return two bills to the Senate for funding for Mississippi’s roads and bridges.
SB 1509 was referred back on a unanimous vote.
Republican representative Joel Bomgar of Madison was the only one to oppose sending SB 2978 back to the Senate.
The two bills would fund the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
Final action has to be taken on Monday or the bills are dead.
