HS Football Standout Killed in Car Wreck

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. – Jarious Holloway, a 16-year-old football standout at Copiah Academy, has died after a fatal crash this morning on Rutledge Road.

The accident occurred just before 8 a.m. while Holloway was on his way to school.

According to Derrick Cubit, Chief Deputy with Copiah County Sheriff’s Department, Holloway crashed into a tree.

Grief counselors have been sent to Copiah Academy.
