Huge Load of Black Tar Heroin Found in a Hydraulic Jack, Atlanta Man Arrested

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss.–A concentrated form of heroin, known as “black tar” heroin, was found in a hydraulic jack in the back of a pickup Wednesday when a state trooper pulled the driver over. That driver, who is from Atlanta, was arrested.

It may be the biggest load of heroin ever seized in one place, said a news release from the MBI.

The state trooper pulled over the Dodge RAM on I-20 in Rankin County about noon. He got consent to search the truck and found the drugs in plastic, in the round part of the industrial-sized jack.

The heroin is worth over $350,000, said agents with the Miss. Bureau of Narcotics, who helped with the seizure and arrest. Police also found $2,500 cash.
