Identities released in Cintronelle murders

GREENE COUNTY, MISS– The violent murder of 5 people in Citronelle, Alabma has the killer’s hometown of Leakesville,Mississippi in shock.

Derrick Dearman went to his former girlfriend’s house in Citronelle, Alabama and killed 5 people, including a pregnant woman, before taking the girlfriend and a three month old baby hostage, local media reported.  

Dearman forced them to go with him to Leakesville, in Greene County, where Dearman’s father lives. He eventually let the ex-girlfriend and the infant go, before his father took him to turn himself in.

The victims have been identified as Robert Lee Brown, 26; Chelsea Marie Reed (5 months pregnant), 22; Justin Kaleb Reed, 23;
Joseph Adam Turner, 27; and Shannon Melissa Randall, 35.

Because Reed was pregnant, Dearman has been charged with six counts of murder.
