JACKSON, Miss. – The Mayoral election has been set for April 8. The Jackson City Council decided on a date during a meeting held Monday afternoon.
There will be no primary and if no candidate gets a majority, the top two will go to a run-off April 22.
According to the Hinds County Coroner, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba died from natural causes.
