JACKSON, Miss.- The Jackson Prep football player that was in critical condition after Friday night’s game has died.
Walker Wilbanks was taken to the hospital Friday during the second half of their home game after experiencing a “medical event”, according to Jackson Prep Headmaster, Dr. Jason Lewis Walton.
School officials said he was transported to the hospital by his family where he had a seizure in the emergency room.
A prayer vigil was held Saturday afternoon for Wilbanks in Lindsay Hall for Prep families and invited guests.
