RAYMOND, Miss. — A Hinds County jailer has been arrested after an inmate accused him of rape. Stanely Martin, 57, of Yazoo City was booked into the jail on a charge of sexual battery Sunday after the inmate reported the incident.
A Hinds County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said the investigation is in its early stages and it has not been determined if the inmate consented to sex at any point, or if there was actually any physical contact between the two.
Martin has been fired.
