JPD identifies shooting suspect as Semi-Truck driver

The Jackson Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting that happened last night on Raymond Road. 

The victim was identified as Lataurus Lewis, 38. Police believe the incident happened as a result of an argument.

Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Jerome Breeland who was said to have been driving a semi-truck to the scene of the shooting. He is said to be an employee of KLLM Trucking. Breeland left the scene and drove to Richland where the vehicle was found at Old River Volvo on Highway 49.

The SWAT team came in this morning at 8:00 a.m. to help search and rescue pull the semi-truck out. Breeland is possibly in a red Chevy pick-up truck with a license plate CM4 698.
