The Jackson Police Department has announced that 21-year-old Sandeep Singh has died as a result of a shooting that took place on Rutledge Street in Jackson on Sunday night.

The JPD is searching for a masked male suspect who robbed three male victims standing outside of their home. The armed suspect appeared and demanded the belongings of the three men, and took their money and cell phones before fleeing the scene.

While fleeing on foot, the suspect then turned and fired shots at the victims, striking Singh in the abdomen. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment before he passed away.

The JPD described the victim as a short man wearing a gray hooded top.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact the Jackson Police Department.
