In its continuing efforts to support the men and women who serve and protect our Great Nation, the Jackson Police Department is hosting the 3rd annual Jackson Police Veteran’s Recognition
Ceremony.

This is a press release

This event originated to celebrate the military veterans within the Jackson Police Department, who have selflessly given of themselves to protect the freedoms that we all enjoy every day in the United States of America.

The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2017. It will be held at the Jackson Police Department Training Academy, located at 3000 Saint Charles St. and will be commencing
promptly at 10:00am. The guest speaker for this esteem event will be retired Major General, Augustus (Leon) Collins, who is the former Adjutant General for the Mississippi Army National Guard.

In quoting Chief Lee Vance, “Those who serve in the military are heroes. Those who serve in law enforcement are heroes. But, those who do both are super heroes!”

Please join us as we celebrate our super heroes and thank them for all they have done and continue to do for their communities, for America and for the World.
