JPD searching for three suspects related to Tuesday shooting

The Jackson Police Department is searching for three black male suspects in connection with a Tuesday shooting that occurred on Rosemary Avenue.

Warrants have been issued for 27-year-old Paul Staples, 19-year-old David Hawkins and 29-year-old Cordaron Proctor after officers found an unidentified man shot in his vehicle on Tuesday.

According to the JPD, each suspect is wanted for two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.

During the investigation, officers learned that a second victim was in the vehicle and suffered a minor injury to his hand. Names of the victims have not been released. The 19-year victim that was originally found at the scene remains at the hospital in critical condition.
