Jury scam working it’s way through Hinds County

JACKSON, Miss.- The Jackson Police Department has taken to Twitter to warn residents of a recent scam.

According to Twitter, JPD said a caller has been contacting people telling them that a warrant was issued for their arrest for not reporting to jury duty.

The caller will then ask for money to be put on a card at Kroger for the bond amount to pay off the warrant. If you receive a phone call of this nature police are warning that it is in fact a scam.

Please report any strange calls you receive to local police.
