Juveniles charged with 8 counts of burglary

Last week two juveniles were arrested by the Hattiesburg Police Department in connection to multiple residential burglaries in the area around Kamper Park.

The two males, both under the age of 16, are each charged with seven counts of residential burglary, and one count each of commercial burglary. Their identities are not being released due to their ages.

An investigation of the area including undercover officers, bike patrols, increased directed patrols and tips from the community led to their arrest.

Burglaries connected to the charges:

4/23/18 – 300 block of Broad Street- Commercial burglary

5/17/18 – 100 block of Palmetto Street -Residential burglary

5/20-5/21 – 100 block of Conti Street- Residential burglary

6/5/18 – 200 block of South 17th Avenue – Residential burglary

6/5/18 – 200 block of South 17th Avenue – Residential burglary

6/5/18 – 100 block of Conti Street- Residential burglary

6/6/18 – 1200 block of Concart Street- Residential burglary

6/6/18 – 100 block of south 15th Avenue – Residential burglary

There are other arrests pending in the investigation and other charges could be added as the investigation progresses.
