Keeping Your Kids Safe: Child Pornography on a Cell Phone in Union County Arrest

MYRTIS, Miss.–Child pornography on his cell phone is why Atty. Gen. Jim Hood’s office said Marvil Lloyd Lemar of Myrtis, in Union County, was arrested Tuesday. He was picked up by investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and Union County deputies.

Police did not say very much about the arrest, other than to say child pornography was on the cell phone. That led to a charge of child exploitation, for which Lemar could get 40 years.

Lemar was arrested about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.
