Keeping Your Kids Safe: Golf Mentor Accused of Molestation May Have Taught Your Kids

LIVERMORE,Ca.–A golf mentor popular in northern California, now accused of 65 counts of child molestation, may have taught your kids. Several media outlets, including the “Contra Costa Times” in the San Francisco Bay area, are reporting Andrew Nisbet taught golf in Mississippi.

His targets were primarily young boys. The charges against him say he would teach them about golf, gain their trust, then coerce them into sex acts in his car and during instruction time.

The students involved were aged 12 to 17, according to the police report. Nisbet is 31 and is married. He was fired from his job after the arrest.

What police are now concerned about is whether he molested other boys on some of his travels, which included the Magnolia State. He traveled with several PGA sponsored events.

Nisbet’s MO: After gaining their trust, he would show them pornography on his laptop or his smart phone. Then he would buy their sexual favors with premium instruction and top of the line golf equipment.

He was arrested after a victim came forward last week.

If you know of any incidents, contact the Livermore, Ca. Police or the Alameda County District Attorney’s office, or your local authorities.
