ELLISVILLE, Miss.–The rape of a three-year-old last year is what has Brandon Polk, who was 14 himself at the time, in trouble. He was indicted this week by the grand jury in Jones County.
Polk will face the charges as an adult.
Police said the assault happened almost one year ago, in October 2014. They did not offer many more details, given the sensitive nature of the case.
Polk is set to stand trial Feb. 25. His bond was set at one quarter of a million dollars. There was no indication that he made bail.
