Representative Joel Bomgar said that the state legislature is saving the taxpayers money.

Thursday, March 8th, the Mississippi Senate and House of Representative adjourned for the week in an effort to save over $30,000 by not meeting on Friday.

“By meeting for fewer days, the House and Senate can save the state money and also offset any costs incurred by special sessions that may need to be called later in the year,” Bomgar said.
