Log truck crash, or order to avoid hitting school bus

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss.- An 18-wheeler purposefully drove off of the road in order to avoid hitting a school bus in Copiah County.

Authorities told local media that troopers responded to an accident on Highway 28 near Barlow Road around 7:05 a.m.

The school bus was stopped to pick up students. Unfortunately, the driver of the log truck didn’t see the bus until it was coming over a hill. In order to avoid catastrophe the driver drove off the road to avoid the bus.

The log truck did roll sideways spilling several logs but not blocking the roadway.

No one was injured, including the driver.
