VANCLEAVE, Miss.- Brandon Colby Smith, 32, has been arrested and charged with murder just one day after a woman was found dead.
Smith is accused of killing Elizabeth Corene Jones, 30, in her home on Ridgeland Road.
He was arrested by Gautier Police for unrelated charges and is being held at the Jackson County Adult detention Center.
No motive has been released at this time but the case in being investigated by local law enforcement.
An autopsy for Jones has been scheduled for Tuesday.
