A Scott County man is being charged with the murder of his father after authorities responded to a call on Riverbend Road early on Christmas morning.
Upon arrival, officers found the body of 57-year old Wayne Adcocks, who died after suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.
An investigation revealed that the suspect in the murder was Adcocks’ son, 19-year old Brandon Lewis of Pelahatchie. Lewis was arrested and has reportedly admitted to the shooting.
A motive for the shooting has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
