Man Convicted of Child Pornography in Hinds County

JACKSON Miss.- A Hinds County man has been convicted of child pornography.

25-year-old Cameron Travelstead was convicted by Hinds County Circuit Judge Jeff Weil, Jr. He faces up to 40 years in prison for his crime. His sentencing has been set for October 29th.

WJTV reports he has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Travelstead was downloading the material on his computer and sharing hundreds of images and video of child porn.

Attorney General Jim Hood said that their ICAC network is large and they help law enforcement all over the nation fight the fight against child pornography. Hood said they appreciate the hard work of all who track down these predators.
