JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson police officers are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday morning in the 900 block of Canal St. 60-year-old Eddie Thomas was found dead just before 11 a.m. when a neighbor went to pick him up to go to lunch.
He found him laying motionless on the couch. The Hinds County Coroner confirmed that he died of severe trauma. He had been beaten to death.
Precinct 2 Commander Jarrat Taylor told WLBT that he’s never seen a person beaten so badly in his 18 years on the force.
No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information about the killing is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
