Man Gets 20 Years For Deadly Hit-And-Run

JACKSON, Miss. — A jealous boyfriend gets the maximum punishment for the hit-and-run death of a man he saw talking to his girlfriend at a Jackson nightclub in July 2011.

Jaycob England argued with Scott Ford at that club, a fight broke out and it ended in the parking lot of a North Jackson store.  That’s where police say England used his girlfriend’s car to run over Ford and then fled the scene.  Ford died the next day.

England was convicted of manslaughter Thursday and sentenced to 20 years in jail.
