Manhunt underway for escaped Calhoun County inmate

CALHOUN COUNTY, MISS– A manhunt is underway for an escaped Calhoun County inmate who got away in a stolen patrol car.

Authorities have banded together to search for Daniel Easley, reported WCBI.

Easley was working outside the Calhoun County Jail Sunday night, when he somehow managed to lift a patrol car parked at the jail. The car was later found in Okktibeha county. Calhoun, Okktibbeha and Clay county deputies and the U.S. Marshals are searching for him.

Easley was in jail on a burglary charge but is now facing escape and grand larceny charges.
