The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is searching for a northeast Mississippi man who fled when officers attempted to arrest him Thursday in connection with an ongoing drug investigation, and the seizure of more than $10,000 worth of methamphetamine.

While executing a search warrant at the home 36-year-old Marcus Torell Starks in Clay County, officers discovered approximately 106 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $10,620.

When officials attempted to arrest Starks, he fled the scene.

Starks has been the subject of an 18-month drug investigation. Upon his arrest he faces sale of methamphetamine, trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and felony fleeing charges, Director Dowdy said.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Starks is asked to call local police or the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics at 1-800-844-6272 (1-800-844-NARC).
