Medicaid Fraud: False Claims of $10,000 Gets Louisville Woman Arrested

LOUISVILLE, Miss.–Telling Medicaid that she treated patients to the tune of $10,000, then pocketing the money got a Louisville woman arrested this week, said Atty. Gen. Jim Hood. Labeatrice Estes, 31, is charged with Medicaid fraud.

Hood said Estes worked for a home health company and billed Medicaid for the money, even though she had not treated the patients.

Hood said Estes could get up to 15 years, if she’s convicted, and would potentially have to pay a fine of $150,000.
