JACKSON, Miss. – A number of Mississippi families are dealing with the loss of a loved this Christmas holiday.
Mississippi Highway Patrol confirming five deaths which occurred from Wednesday through Sunday.
One of the those who died, 19-year-old Chaniqua Pierce of Boonville. She was driving her car along Mississippi 6 when she lost control and ran into a tree.
Overall, there were 250 wrecks during the holiday, with 81 injuries.
