The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Copiah.

The crash occurred on Monday morning around 7 a.m. when a Ford F-250 truck with another car in tow was headed westbound on MS-28 in Copiah. According to the MHP, the truck then left the roadway and collided with a tree. At the time of the crash, there were 4 people in the car, and two of them died at the scene.

The other two passengers were immediately taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, but no update on their condition has been given.

The MHP has identified 37-year-old Henry Lee Foster Jr. of Cannonsburg as one of the victims who passed away.  The other 3 occupants were all from Atlanta, GA, but their names have not been released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.

This is the second fatal crash to occur in Copiah in as many weeks. Last week, two 18-wheelers collided on MS-28, and both drivers died as a result.
