MHRA fighting back against bill with new campaign

JACKSON, Miss.- The Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association will be launching a campaign at the end of April called “EVERYONE’S WELCOME HERE.”

The campaign comes in response to Gov. Bryant’s signature on the Religious Accommodations Act which was passed into law on Tuesday.

The law would allow for businesses to refuse service based on their religious beliefs if a customer practiced a homosexual lifestyle. There are other stipulations in the bill that run on the grey line instead of a black or white.

The MHRA has initiated the campaign to encourage businesses in the hospitality state to join them in making sure that everyone feels welcome when coming to Mississippi.

They’ll be conveying the message all across the state with decals, flyers, stickers, posters.

A similar campaign was launched a year ago with blue stickers reading “We don’t discriminate. If you’re buying, we’re selling.”

For more information in how to be apart of the movement call 601-608-0221 or email info@msra.org.
