Miss. News Briefs: Illegal Ice Cream and Phony Credit Cards

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss.–Maybe you could use some of the phony credit cards found in Biloxi Tuesday to buy some black market ice cream in Ocean Springs. If your week is going great, here are some news briefs to help you celebrate:

PHONY CREDIT CARDS
Keeping You Safe from being scammed: Phony credit cards and the machines used to make them found on six people in Biloxi Tuesday at a local condo. All six are from Chicago and they’re also charged with possession of crack, reports WLOX. The cops were called when neighbors thought the six were smoking pot.

ILLEGAL ICE CREAM
I scream, you scream, we all… Well, not everybody…

CHILD ALMOST DROWNS AT THE Y
This is just another example of why you need to be really careful with kids when you’re swimming. A little boy caught water in his lungs at the Clinton YMCA pool Tuesday afternoon about 1:15. Witnesses say emergency crews were able to get the water out and get him to a hospital.

CROSSDRESSING THIEF
You’ve got to be careful when you meet somebody online. That’s the lesson learned by a man in Meridian who ended up meeting up with a man he thought was the woman of his dreams Tuesday morning at 4 at the Pilot. WTOK reports he met the thief on Backpages.com. The man came there disguised as a woman, then made off with the victim’s wallet.

LITTLE GIRL SAFE
Taken from her daycare by her own parents, and now they are looking at kidnapping charges. The little girl, Addison McGuire, is just two and she was kidnapped by her mom and dad just before 3 Tuesday from a daycare in Booneville. She’s now safe. The state took her away from her parents a while back and that’s why they are in trouble. Little Addison is back with DHS. She was found about 5 yesterday afternoon.
