Mississippi Army National Guard sends aid to flood victims

The Mississippi Army National Guard currently has two CH-47 Chinook helicopter crews supporting flood relief operations in Louisiana.

Soldiers have been slingloading sandbags to the levee near the Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility in St. Gabriel.

The crews are a mixture of Soldiers from our 66th Troop Command (Jackson), 185th Aviation Brigade (Jackson), and the 1108th Aviation Group (Gulfport).

The video was acquired by Maj. Andrew Birmingham. Aviators are continuing to support Louisiana National Guard levee reinforcement operations today as well.
