Carter Griffin, a little boy from Ridgeland Mississippi wrote President Donald Trump a letter giving his support to the new Commander in Chief.

Gov. Phil Bryant said in a Facebook post that in Carter’s letter he told the President he stood behind him, and that he didn’t like the way the media treated him.

Last week, Carter got a response.

The President’s letter read as follows:

“Dear Carter,

Thank you for your kind note of support. I was so happy to receive it.

I am glad to see young people like you who want to make a difference. Your continued strength in the face of adversity is an inspiration to me and exemplifies the resilience of your spirit.

I encourage you to do your best in school, think big, and dream even bigger! You are the future of our country.”
