JACKSON, Miss. – After one of the biggest weekends in Mississippi college football history, Sports Illustrated has decided to showcase both Ole Miss and Mississippi State on the cover of this month’s magazine. The cover shows members of both teams jumping in celebration behind the words “Mississippi Mayhem.” This is also the first time MSU has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Both Mississippi universities are tied at number three in this week’s AP poll, following Florida State and Auburn.
