Mississippi GOP Chairman hands in resignation

Joe Nosef, the Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party is resigning from his position as head of the Mississippi GOP.

In a letter to Governor Bryant, Nosef, said he was stepping down from the position that he has held for nearly six years and expressed his thanks to the Governor for the opportunity to serve alongside him.

“Serving in this capacity with you as Governor has been an honor beyond description, and I want to thank you for that opportunity and for the hard work of the many people that led us to so much success,” said Nosef.

The state executive committee for the Mississippi GOP will now work together with the governor to appoint a new leader to the Mississippi Republican party.

In a statement, Gov. Bryant thanked Nosef for his years of service and wished him well.

“I appreciate Joe’s years of service to the Party. I am happy he will have the opportunity to spend more time with his family and wish him the best in the future.”
