WASHINGTON, D.C.- After President Donald Trump launched a missile attack on a Syrian Airbase, Mississippi officials have spoken out in support of the decision. Senator Roger Wicker, who serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, appeared on CNN to offer his support of President Donald Trump’s decision to launch the attack against Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in response to his use of chemical weapons on innocent civilians.

“I do support the President’s action. I think it was called for, and the fact that he notified a number of our strongest allies [and] was advised by a very professional national security team we have in place gives me a great deal of confidence,” said Wicker.

Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4) also spoke out in support of the United States air strike.

“I support president Trump’s bold response against Syria following the atrocities they committed with the use of chemical weapons against civilians, including children. The United States of America should always be willing and able to take decisive military action, and the President has shown we can and will do so when necessary,” said Palazzo.
