Mississippi mother accused of endangering baby with this drug

JONES COUNTY, MS – A Jones County mother has admitted to using cocaine while pregnant and is now being charged with child abuse.

Child Protective Services were contacted by the hospital after the newborn tested positive for the narcotic.

CPS then sent the information to the Jones County Sheriff’s office to investigate.

Friday, Christina K. Yanacheak was taken into custody and admitted to officers that she had used cocaine just prior to the babies birth.

Yanacheak’s bond has been set at $2,500.
