The Amway Preseason Coaches Poll has been released ahead of the 2018 college football season, and the Bulldogs have made the cut.

To no one’s surprise, the Alabama Crimson Tide sit atop the poll after last year’s national championship victory over Georgia. The Tide is followed by the 2016 National Champion Clemson Tigers, and amid controversy surrounding head coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State rounds out the top three.

Mississippi State cracked the top-20 and sits at #18 ahead of Joe Moorhead’s first season as the head coach in Starkville. QB Nick Fitzgerald told reporters at SEC Media Days that he is “100%” after the injury he suffered on Thanksgiving night against Ole Miss, so expectations are high for him and the Bulldogs in 2018.

The top-25 is littered with SEC squads including Alabama at the top, Georgia at #4, Auburn at #10, Mississippi State at #18, and LSU at #24.

Mississippi State opens their season against Stephen F. Austin on September 1st.
