YAZOO CITY, Miss.–It was a stabbing early Saturday that had Yazoo City Police working to build a case that includes both stabbing and strangling. One man is dead and police have their eye on the other.

Police told WAPT that an argument broke out about 2 Saturday morning when 56-year-old Robert Lee Montson busted in to his sister-in-law’s house and found his wife there with another man. He had a knife and somehow both men ended up stabbed, possibly several times.

How Montson died-it was a dogpile, with his wife and the man on top of him. The man may have placed him in a choke hold and when paramedics got there, they could not revive him.

In Morton it was an argument Friday about 6 p.m. that ended in the death of Marvin Thomas. The arument was between he and Devarius Ragsdale, according to police. The argument spilled over from the inside to the outside and when Thomas got close to a vehicle where one of Ragsdale’s friends was, he was shot in the leg.

Cops say Devon Clark is the one who pulled a .40 caliber pistol and did the shooting. Both he and Ragsdale are charged in the case.
