Jackson, Miss– If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s plenty happening around the state.

Head to Hernando for the kickoff of Civil War Month there will be displays of civil war artifacts, literature, and attractions to teach you and the kids about war between the states.

Then in Vicksburg, Tracey Lawrence will play at Waterview Casino. CMT calls Lawrence one of the most recognizable voices in country music with 22 songs on the Billboard top 10 and 18 number one singles.

Then head to Bay St. Louis for the Our Lady of the Gulf Annual Crab Festival. Every Fourth of July Weekend the church has live music, arts and carfts, rides, raggles, crab races and of course, seafood. Boiled Crab, shrimp and crab po-boys, gumbo, hotdogs and hamburgers–there’s something there for everyone.
