JACKSON, MISS– If you’re making plans for the weekend, there’s plenty happening statewide.

If you’re looking to get the kids tapped into nature, head to Tupelo for Predator or Prey: Guess Who Has Talons? Join a park ranger at the Parkway Visitor Center for this 45-minute program to learn how adaptations make owls expert predators and help them survive in the ecosystems along the Parkway. Click HERE for additional information.
If you’re looking for a good ol’ country throwdown, head to Duling Hall in Jackson for the Country Showdown. Various acts will compete for a $1,000 prize, the regional title and the opportunity to advance to one of five semifinals competitions–insuring you a night of music you can boot, scoot, and boogie too.  If a country night out is what you’re after, click HERE for ticket information.
And for the thrill seeker, tag along with the Southern Paranormal and Anomaly Research Society at Beauvoir. Meet the Spirits that haunt the property.  You’ll go with your group to the different “hot spots” on the property in the main home and the cemetery. If ghost hunting is right up your spooky alley, then click HERE for information on how to join the groups.
